The State Board voted at 5:56 pm to terminate President Lariviere, with his termination taking place on December 28.
Chancellor Pernsteiner will be visiting the campus this week to consult with UO faculty and administrators in order to identify an interim President. He would like the board to name the interim next week.

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine why Pernsteiner would want to consult with the UO at this point. He should simply appoint himself interim President. This would eliminate the risk of disagreement and he could give himself an honorary Doctorate at the same time. No need to do much work, just let the University slide downhill. He might need to really live in Eugene though....
